Wouldn't the inclusion of rumble be considered an update as well?
EDIT @ below: No I didn't miss that part, but you said "at least MS updates their controller", implying that other manufacturers don't. That's why I asked.
EDIT #2: I'm not the one who disagreed by the way. I'm just trying to have a conversation.
It's not the discs, but the consoles?! Oh... That makes it so much better.
That's quite a spin you got going there. But let me see if I get this straight: M$, Halo Reach, COD and Kinect will save the industry this holiday, because Sony delayed GT5 and Move to 2011 and also the new COD game has been canceled for the PS3... hhhmmmm... Is that it? Am I doing it right?
Yeah. I can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet.
I think Natal uses it's own power adapter. At least the development kit does.
Also, considering how similar the PS3 Move and the Wiimote are, it's possible that soccer mums will choose the PS3 and not the 360. Don't you agree DOM?
LMAO! I know I probably shouldn't but I'm just laughing so hard right now...
@ callahan09 - I'm no expert, but I think you got it wrong. 576 is the vertical resolution. The Xbox version of FFXIII is running at 1024x576. If we correct your maths, we get:
576p = 1024x576 = 589,824 pixels
1080p = 1920x1080 = 2,073,600 pixels
2073600/589824 = 3,5
So 1080p is exactly 3.5 times the pixel count of 576p. Not that it's drastically different from your numbers. It still looks pretty bad (the numbers, not the game). I'm just interested...
Doesn't surprise me considering how the game is fully translated into several languages. Not just the text, but the audio too.
I wish more publishers would do that. Besides Sony, I've only seen EA doing it but on a much smaller number of games (mainly Harry Potter games).
I don't know guys... Sure this is just an alpha build, but I have to say I'm more than slightly disappointed by it. The physics engine is strange and doesn't resemble the classic 2D games. The animation looks slow and still needs a lot of work. Also, Sonic's artwork should consist of hand drawn high resolution 2D sprites (right now he reminds more of Donkey Kong on the SNES than Sonic on the Genesis).
If Sega can fix these issues, I'll be first in line to buy the episodes.
Holy crap! This has to be a new low for IGN, and thats saying something! This rant is complete and utter flamebait with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. True hardcore fanboy stuff. And people still think these guys are professionals?
This is basically just some idiot stating his opinion as fact and arguing that other people "need to accept this". Heaven forbid if anyone else has his own contrasting opinion! You're not allowed to think for yourself. EPIC FACEPALM
LOL @ Chris
I was about to say that.
There's no need for motion controls either, but that's just my OPINION.
Project Natal (and Sony's wand for that matter) is more like the end of gaming for me.
And it's just saddening to see how much the fanboys in both camps are brainwashed and charmed by all the PR talk.
I don't get it. If it's the same track, how different could it be between Forza 2 and Forza 3? I remember that GT4 also recycled tracks from GT3 and those didn't look much different between both games.
I'll be the first to admit that this game is being overrated (I bet critics will be a lot harsher with GT5) but this article is just stupid.
Take a good look at the open zone... Are you really that surprised for getting one disagree?
Where's Ikaruga?! I love that game! It's #1 on my list.
I see what you guys mean. It kind of takes the challenge away doesn't it?
I hope this doesn't turn out like Prince of Persia, where you had to pay 60$ for the game and then an extra 10$ to see the ending.
It's just crazy how much gamers are being ripped off this gen. If they want to sell us half a game, they're gonna have to charge us half the price.
Please Remedy focus on developing a excellent full game with a beginning and an end. Then you can start thinking how to build on that.
Those red and white blocks aren't cement, they're made out of plastic and can be filled with water to add weight and help absorb the force of an impact. Tire barriers and even stacks of hay are commonly used for the same purpose. Concrete blocks wouldn't be very helpful in the event of a collision. You've never actually been in a temporary urban circuit to watch a race?
